Who We Are

Core Technology Foundation was founded in 2022 by Monty Blizard, a longtime Richmond technology executive, to encourage and assist Virginia high school students pursuing higher education and careers in technology and the broader science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.

Our mission is to invest in talented Virginia students whose education and leadership will contribute to the Commonwealth’s growing technology, STEM, and business communities. Through scholarships and continued support, we help students build the knowledge and skills needed to become part of Virginia’s next generation of innovators, problem-solvers, and leaders.

The Core Technology Foundation Board comprises seasoned technology and business professionals who share a commitment to higher education, STEM opportunity, and the communities and businesses of Virginia.

Together, we are passionate about expanding access to education for promising students and helping develop the technology and STEM talent that will contribute to Virginia’s future.
